As Maggie from http://www.maggiesnotebook.com shows us, this “group” of people are pilfering OUR treasury…A picture is worth a thousand words…and this, I would bet, is just the tip of the money iceberg.
We are not a reflection of our government; our government is a reflection of us…or at least it should be…is ours? I certainly hope not because if it is a reflection of “we the people” then we are a nation of atheists and leftists…bad things happen when good people do nothing…When more than 41% of Americans identify themselves as Conservatives and only 20% as leftists-liberals/progressives (Meggie McCain is your spokesperson-lucky you!) For those of you that are math-challenged that means conservatives OUTNUMBER leftists 2 to 1.
Gallup poll shows 41% self-identify as conservative vs. only 21% liberal … lean more conservative or liberal to give a clearer picture than this poll …http://www.therightscoop.com/gallup-poll-shows-41-self-identify-as…
Whereas middle-aged and older Americans lean conservative (vs. liberal) in their politics by at ……http://www.gallup.com/poll/120857/Conservatives-Single-Largest..

How does America become Hitlers Germany of 1930? A little bit at time…
So WHAT the hell are we all doing?
This is from the foreword of Eric Metaxes (2010) book on Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Timothy Keller.
“How could the ‘church of Luther’, that great teacher of gospel, have ever come to such a place? The answer is that the true gospel, summed up by Bonhoeffer as costly grace, had been lost. On the other hand, the church had become marked by formalism. That meant going to church and hearing that God loves and forgives everyone, so it doesn’t really matter much how you live. Bonhoeffer called this cheap grace. On the other hand, there was legalism, or salvation by law and good works. Legalism meant that God loves you because you have pulled yourself and are trying to live a good, disciplined life.
Both of these impulses made it possible for Hitler to come to power. The formalists in Germany may have seen things that bothered them. Legalists[sic] responded[sic] by having Pharisaical attitudes toward other nations and races that approved of Hitler’s policies. But as one, Germany lost hold of brilliant balance of the gospel that Luther so persistently expounded-“we are saved by faith alone, but not by faith which is alone.” That is, we are saved, not by anything we do , but by grace. ” Yet if we have truly understood and believed the gospel, it will change what we do and how we do it.” Eric Metaxes, forword by Timothy Keller, Bonhoeffer, Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy. (2010).
To which I say Amen…What happens when good people do nothing? We are about to find out I fear…
