Was John R. Rice a Heretic?

Dr. John R. Rice

Dr. Rice, who died in 1980, was one of the most well-known fundamentalist writers and evangelists of the 20th century. He wrote more than 200 books and booklets which were published in many languages and sold all over the world. He condemned the compromise, liberalism, and apostacy being taught at major denominational colleges and seminaries.  He fought for a return to holiness and the fundamentals of the Christian faith. But what I think he will always be remembered for is his founding of the weekly paper, Sword of the Lord.

What is 2 x 6? In Common Core math, nobody is quite sure

EGADS, and I thought “new math” (kind of an oxymoron, but whatevah) was a mess…does anyone else remember the rote memorization of multiplication tables? The wonder of memorizing FACTS, ya know those things that never change…I wonder if all of this newism for unchanging things like… Oh, I don’t know MATH, is to make new educational textbook authors relevant. I wonder if they really believe they can improve on mathematics…SMH.
Here’s another thought, most people in Universities today wouldn’t know how to “critical think” if their lives depended on it their…they obediently, vomit back up & parrot the nonsense they are told by intelligentsia types, ya know the ones who came up with the Common Core twaddle. sheesh

It’s not funny, because it’s true: Here is Obama’s ‘hope and change’ nutshelled

I think this IS the hopey dopey presto chango they WERE looking for…this is the direct effect of the past 50 years of dumbing down of our children in the propaganda warehouses that are called public school systems, with a massive number of captive audiences for progressive, multiculturalism twaddle and nonsense… people we got what we OVER paid for and let happen.

New Encryption Software On Smartphones “Concerns” FBI

” Users might have praised the technology companies for efforts to encrypt their latest devices that would prevent law enforcement agencies’ hands on users’ private data, but the FBI is not at all happy with Apple and Google right now.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation director, James Comey, said Thursday he was “very concerned” over Apple and Google using stronger or full encryption in their Smartphones and Tablets that makes it impossible for law enforcement to collar criminals.
According to Comey, the Silicon Valley tech giants are “marketing something expressly to allow people to place themselves above the law.”

There will come a day – well it comes every day in this business – when it will matter a great, great deal to the lives of people of all kinds that we be able…

It takes just one truth-snark point to crush Obama’s absurd #GlobalCitizenFestival video

Please, lets not confuse the ignoramus’ with facts OR true reality…living in bubble ..ah it makes it good to be king. *sarcasm*

Seriously. He DID build that.

Heh. The hypocrisy, it burns. But no one is a bigger hypocrite than President Obama. As Twitchy reported, Obama sent a highly mockable “video greeting” to the 3rd annual “Global Citizen Festival,” a festival meant to bring awareness to world poverty.

Why the video greeting? This truth-snark crushes the absurdity in one tweet:

Enough said.

Obama sends video greeting to the #GlobalCitizenFestival to fight poverty while golfing. Let the mockingbegin!

Gun Control “Logic.”

That first salvo made me chuckle and I agree with aurorawatcherak, the danger of leftyism run amok. One wonders what the Old Testament would have looked like had the progressives been in control then too. The mind boggles.

First of all David was a youth and shouldn’t even have access to a projectile weapon and Saul should have kept it locked in a combination safe.

Thirdly, without sling shot registration, who knows how many of those giant slayers are out there.  Think of all the child giants.

Fourthly, David could have just ran away…sure it would have meant the utter destruction and enslavement of Israel…but at least he wouldn’t have had to use a projectile weapon to kill someone.

Finally, the Israelites should arrest David because he committed a racist hate crime and the media will portray poor innocent Goliath as someone just taking a peaceful walk through the valley of Elah when he was…

Driving on the Mean Streets, and By-Ways.

Good grief, people scare me on the roads.  I live in the deep south, where (unfortunately) people seem to lose their minds when it rains (fahgetaboutit when it snows!).  I have lived in many places in the last 30 years, including both the left and other left coast.

People in Cali scare me because they are self absorbed (who knew) even when they drive and they drive F-A-S-T, then we have the folks who just stop in the middle of the free-way (the 8 lane kind) just because they can.

People in PA, NY and NJ, well what can I say, they drive F-A-S-T, and KNOW that rules are for other people. They are maniacs on the road and rude to boot.

People in the South as I mentioned previously, lose their minds when it rains. One southern gal told me that “here in the South we barely can drive when the roads are dry, add the rain, and well, we’re a mess.”  Yeah, I noticed…Add to a little rain putting on make-up while you drive, reading the newspaper, talking on the phone, or my favorite texting and well…let’s just say driving where I live gets REALLY interesting and did I say interesting?

Here is another unfortunate truth about where I live, Northerners LOVE it here and move here in droves. They move here and then try to “remake it” into the rat holes states they came from.  I believe at this particular moment, there are more Ohioans, Jerseyites and NY’kers living here than there are natives…unfortunate for a whole host of reasons, not the least of  which is, when you put Ohioans, Jerseyites , NY’kers and southerners, together on the same stretch of asphalt- well, let’s just say that boy-howdy does it get interesting in a Mississippi minute.

Rush hour traffic takes on a whole new dimension of crazy here. People drive jalopies…I’m sorry, classics here, that break down indiscriminately and usually with disturbing regularity during said rush hour.

When I lived in Cali there was a bumper sticker that I loved, it went something like this, “Thanks for visiting, now go home!”  As a transplant to a state I love, JUST the way it was when I moved here, I say a hearty AMEN!

We moved down here because we loved this state just the way it was, bad drivers and all.  I didn’t know about the bad drivers when I moved here but after living in Cali & Philly, I figured how bad could they be?   Here is the difference between native drivers and Northerners- at least the native bad drivers smile and are happy & smiling as they slowly run you off the road, cut you off or go 35 mph in the fast lane…

Exposing Another McDonough Ruse – The Khorosan Group Does Not Exist…

Hmmm, go figure; another ruse with perhaps a sprinkle of propaganda from dear leader, the uno? *sarcasm*

In a recent column for NRO McCarthy explains how the White House had come up with the “Khorosan” al-Qaeda group as nothing more than a political ploy to avoid being ridiculed for their inept and detached prior espousals. After the McCarthy article we’ll show you the timeframe when the Denis McDonough ruse was designed:

Andrew McCarthy – We’re being had. Again.

Bill Maher ‘nails’ it on liberal Western culture vs. Islamic extremism [video]

I never agree with Bill Maher, but even a broken clocks is correct twice a day…

Originally posted on Twitchy:

Yes, we saw it. And granted, we don’t often agree with Bill Maher, but he was spot-on last night when he talked about the difference between “liberal Western culture” and that of Islamic theocracies, calling them not only “different,” but saying that liberal Western culture is “better.”

Maher went on to single out President Obama individually for refusing to describe the ISIS terrorists as Islamic. Zinggggg!

President Obama keeps insisting that ISIS is not Islamic. Well, maybe they don’t practice the Muslim faith the same way he does.

But if vast numbers of Muslims across the world believe, and they do, that humans deserve to die for merely holding a different idea or drawing a cartoon or writing a book or eloping with the wrong person, not only does the Muslim world have something in common with ISIS, it has too much in common with ISIS.

And Tweeters took notice. Nailed it, indeed:
