An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the…

Surprisingly, some six years into the Obama presidency, Joseph has turned against the president, disappointed that he did not deliver on his “hope and change” campaign promises.

Yes, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, thinks the U.S.-Mexico border is secure:

The border is secure,” [Reid]  told reporters after the Senate Democrats’ weekly policy lunch. “[Sen.] Martin Heinrich [(D-N.M.)] talked to the caucus today.  He’s a border state senator. He said he can say without any equivocation the border is secure.”

Reid said lawmakers need to worry less about border security and focus instead on President Obama’s $3.7 billion request to help process the tens of thousands of children from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador who have been apprehended on the border.

Oh, good grief.

Just say No to Legalized Marijuana?

Marijuana Is Harmful: Debunking 7 Myths Arguing It’s Fine

http://dailysignal.com/2014/04/27/time-reefer-sanity/

This is a great short and sweet article by Kevin Sabet found by way of the Heritage Foundation on Debunking7 Myths Arguing the Legalization of Marijuana is Fine, found in its entirety by clicking on the link above…

one that I found particularly fascinating (although it also made me shudder) was Mr. Sabet’s point about the legalization of alcohol.

He points out that the argument for legalization for marijuana is due to our laws allowing alcohol, which presupposes that said alcohol laws are “good.”  What made me shudder was the thought of alcohol NOT being legal…I know right?

However, I have to agree with most of his assertions that legalizing marijuana is not a good thing and as I pointed in my last post, I find it odd and rather disconcerting that what I learned while taking classes on urban planning at my local community college about the Netherlands and Sweden social experiments; the so-called “wonder” of liberalized drug laws and social engineering have all been dis-proven.  Yet, those same failed “experiments”  are still being touted as success stories on liberal campuses by crack-pot “professors” all across our fruit-cake laden planes.

I have YET to figure out WHY after we fought a war to gain our independence from the idiocy of England & by extension Europe, we now find ourselves following in their idiotic social engineering footsteps again…

Could we as a people/country/society puh-lease just recognize that WE up until this point in time have had the better form of government and ideas and can we stop trying to progress our way backwards into european mediocracy?

Why Morality Matters

thepoliticalchef™:

I’m going for broke this morning..thank you again aurorawatcherak~

Originally posted on aurorawatcherak:

American psychotherapist Perry London (author of Behavior Control) admitted that, if man is a machine (and he believed we are), it is meaningless to speak of good and evil or moral responsibility. We are no more than computers on legs that procreate and we don’t accuse computers of criminal behavior. If man is no more than a complex physical organism, a relative of the rat and whale, why do we hold men responsible for their actions as if any of us were moral agents? London argued that good, evil and moral responsibility are imaginary, but he also recognized that we seem to need those concepts to live meaningfully. He then went on to suggest ways of programming people to create a better society.

Yeah, by his own admission,  better is a meaningless term in his philosophy, but let’s think about his theory for a moment. All human societies have a…
